 Picture
Bayou Outdoors the makers of V&M and Cyclone baits held their first Sam Rayburn division tournament and it started with a bang. There were 25 teams signed up to take part in the event that would wind up being won with a very heavy sack that weighed 29.15 pounds.  The team of Richard Draper and Phil Marks came to the scales carrying their creel limit and after the scales stopped on 29.15 pounds they chose their biggest fish out of the bag to see if they could also take the big bass pot. Their kicker fish stopped the scales at 7.34 pounds, good enough to take the big bass honors.  This event paid back 7 Places with last in the money having a sack that weighed 14.58 pounds. The team  said they used strike king lipless crank baits and square bill baits to catch their fish.  Ken Starks wants evey angler out there to know that this trail is for them, and that means he is paying back 100% of the money back to the field of anglers. Ken said he will leave it up to the anglers on how big the division get's and right now there is still a chance for anglers to get involved and make the championship, which he promised was going to be a good one.   If you would like to find out more about these tournaments and their dates click here
